Senior Herpetologist


Stan Boder specializes in surveys and studies of threatened and endangered species, general herpetological surveys, biological/ecological assessments, natural resource inventories, and wetlands sciences.  Stan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management/Wildlife Science from Rutgers University and a Master of Science degree in Biology/Herpetology from East Stroudsburg University.

Stan is recognized by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as a qualified bog turtle surveyor in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New York, and he is recognized by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, and the New Jersey Endangered and Threatened Species Program as a Qualified Timber Rattlesnake Biologist and Surveyor.  Stan is also recognized by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries as a canebrake rattlesnake consultant.

Stan is also experienced in vernal pool surveys, wetland delineation and presence/absence determination, wetland mitigation site monitoring, environmental permitting, environmental assessments, stream quality assessments, macroinvertebrate sampling, grant writing, GIS mapping and GPS surveying. His environmental/biological work experience includes employment as a natural resource manager, wildlife biologist/herpetologist, environmental educator and environmental consultant.
