Rare & Invasive Plant Surveys
Services Include
Some of the many species we have conducted surveys for include Creeping Snowberry, Buffalo-nut, Oake’s Evening Primrose, Great Spurred Violet, native orchids, Thick-leaved Meadow-rue, Northeastern and Stalked Bulrushes, various sedges, Roundleaf Serviceberry, Clinton's Woodfern, and Downy Lettuce.
- Qualified Surveyors: Our professional staff are highly qualified botanists trained to follow protocols established by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
- Timely Response: Once a client submits a survey request, we provide thorough site assessments to determine the impact of a project. Upon completion of fieldwork, comprehensive reports are produced and delivered to the client in a timely manner to avoid costly delays in the permitting process.
- Comprehensive Reporting: Our reports contain all necessary information required by the regulatory agencies to evaluate a project. Specifically, we provide detailed site descriptions, high quality maps, photographs, and all required data collected at each site. In addition, we offer recommendations on how clients can avoid or reduce their impact on sensitive plant and their habitats.
- Post-Development Monitoring: Where necessary, we provide monitoring of rare and invasive plant populations to assess ecological responses to development activities and mitigation.
