Bat Surveys and Monitoring
Bat Acoustical Surveys

Using the most advanced sensors and
analysis software, we can set up either
remote or manned bat monitoring
systems, and analyze the recorded calls
to species in most cases.

Mist-Netting Surveys

A mist-net survey is used to capture bats
and verify the species using a particular
area or habitat.  This can be coupled with
an acoustical survey to gain an
understanding of bat use by species and
abundance.

Radio-telemetry

Captured bats can be tagged with radio
transmitters and followed to locate
foraging or roosting areas, and other
habitat use.

Hibernacula Surveys

Caves or mines can be trapped or netted,
or a walk-through visual survey can be
done to determine use of specific features
by hibernating bats.

Mortality Surveys
